The Discount Capital Underwriting team is one of the most experienced in the Israeli capital market, providing clients with top-notch services throughout the placement cycle:

Discount Capital's International Practice focuses on overseas companies seeking to raise debt or equity in Israel and improve their capital structure. The International Practice team is engaged in identifying, advising, underwriting and distributing foreign securities and investments to domestic private and public investors. Through collaboration with the Discount Group, one of the leading financial groups in Israel, the International Practice team also offers its clients sophisticated, tailor-made solutions that combine capital market, banking, and private financial products.
The International Practice team provides its clients with one-stop-shop services that include:
- Analyzing the financial model and matching financing needs.
- Structuring the deal and advising on legal, commercial and financial structures.
- Assisting in setting the financial policy.
- Advising on credit rating and hedging solutions
- Preparing marketing materials and managing the road show.
- Underwriting and distributing the offered securities.
Discount Capital Underwriting’s East Asia Practice was established in 2014, focused on advising Asian investors in investment and acquisition opportunities in Israel. Since its launch, the East Asia team has successfully closed several key transactions for Asian investors in Israeli companies.
In addition, the team has identified the Singapore Exchange and other Asian stock exchanges as alternative fundraising platforms for Israeli growth-stage companies seeking to expand their operations in the Asian market. The team actively assists Israeli companies in their fundraising endeavors in the various Asia Pacific stock exchanges. In 2015, the East Asia team successfully listed the Israel-based Trendlines Group on the Singapore Exchange, raising a total of $30M.
Underwriting Team
Tzahi serves as Chairman of Discount Capital Underwriting.
Tzahi joined Discount Capital in early 2016 after it merged with Clal Finance Underwriting, the leading underwriting firm he founded more than 20 years ago. Drawing on more than 25 years of underwriting experience, Tzahi is one of the most prominent figures in the Israeli capital market.
Under Tzahi’s leadership, Clal Finance Underwriting executed hundreds of public and private offerings, including some of the highest-profile IPOs and privatization processes in the Israeli capital market. Prior to founding and leading Clal Finance Underwriting, Tzahi served in several senior roles, including as Managing Director at HSBC, Chief Executive Officer of Gmul Sahar Underwriters, and Head of the Underwriting Division at Poalim Capital Markets.
Tzahi holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University and a BA in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Liran serves as the CEO of Discount Capital Underwriting. He joined Discount Capital following the merger of Clal Finance Underwriting and Discount Capital in early 2016, having been with Clal Finance Underwriting since 2014.
Liran has more than 10 years of experience in the capital market, specializing in the management of both private and public offerings. Prior to joining Discount Capital, Liran was a manager at IBI Institutional Brokerage, responsible for IBI's private bonds trading activity. In 2011, Liran joined Igud Underwriting and Finance as a partner.
Liran holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration from the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo.
Tal is the President and Head of Business Development for Discount Capital Underwriting. During Tal's tenure, the firm has led hundreds of public and private offerings for major companies in the Israeli market and overseas (Nasdaq/Singapore Exchange (SGX)).
Tal draws on more than 20 years of underwriting experience within the Israeli capital market, including some of the highest-profile IPOs. Until 2017, Tal served as Discount Capital Underwriting CEO and prior to the merger between Clal Finance Underwriting and Discount Capital Underwriting, she served as Clal Finance Underwriting’s Vice Chairman and CEO. She previously held various positions in the Israeli underwriting industry, including at Ilanot Batucha Capital Markets and Koor Underwriters & Issuers.
Tal holds an MBA and a BA in Economics and Management from Tel Aviv University.
Moshe serves as Deputy CEO and Legal Counsel of Discount Capital Underwriting. In this role, Moshe is responsible for all legal, corporate and regulatory aspects of Discount Capital Underwriting, including due diligence procedures, drafting trust deeds, negotiating the terms of offerings, and so forth.
Moshe joined Discount Capital in early 2016, following the merger of Clal Finance Underwriting and Discount Capital. At Clal Finance Underwriting, Moshe had served as Deputy CEO and Legal Counsel since 2005, and was previously a lawyer at a leading capital markets law firm. Moshe has extensive experience in a wide range of regulatory aspects in the capital market, specializing in securities and corporate law.
Moshe holds an LLB (Law) (cum laude) from Bar-Ilan University.
Ariel serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Discount Capital Underwriting. In this role, Ariel is responsible for all of the firm's financial management, company monitoring, and controlling activities.
Ariel joined Discount Capital in early 2016, following the merger of Clal Finance Underwriting and Discount Capital. He had served as Clal Finance Underwriting's CFO since 2005, and was previously an Audit Manager at KPMG.
Ariel completed an LLM (Law) from Bar-Ilan University, and a BA in Accounting and Business Management from the College of Management. He is a CPA and has been a member of the Israeli Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 2002.
Ido joined Discount Capital in 2016 and serves as Vice President of Discount Capital Underwriting.
Prior to joining Discount Capital Underwriting, Ido worked as Assistant Corporate Controller at a global technology company. He was previously a senior associate in PwC Israel's high-tech division, and also worked at the BDO Ziv Haft accounting firm, preparing and submitting financial statements for public companies. Ido brings with him great knowledge and experience in accounting and economics, specializing in technology, real estate and industrial companies, both in Israel and abroad.
Ido holds a BA in Accounting from the College of Management and is a member of the Israeli Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Anna joined Discount Capital in 2017 and serves as Vice President of Discount Capital Underwriting. Anna’s experience includes over 7 years in the Israeli capital markets.
Prior to joining Discount Capital Underwriting, Anna served as a senior analyst in Midroog (a subsidiary of Moody's in Israel), where she was involved in the analysis and credit rating processes of both Israeli and foreign corporates.
Anna holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration from IDC, as well as an MBA, with a major in finance, from Bar-Ilan University.
Guy joined Discount Capital in 2018 and serves as Vice President of Discount Capital Underwriting.
Guy has over 9 years of experience in the Israeli capital markets, specializing in the management of both private and public offerings.
Prior to joining Discount Capital Underwriting, Guy served as an Associate at Leumi Partners underwriters, and prior to thata consultant in Deloitte's Strategic Consulting Group.
Guy holds a BA in Accounting from the IDC and is a member of the Israeli Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
